DAVID IN POLITICS
David has been involved in Idaho politics since 2018. In 2020 he ran for the state legislature in District 33. He has served as a precinct captain and also the chair of the Bonneville County Democrats. In 2022, with the encouragement of four-time U.S. Congressman Richard Stallings, David sought the Democratic Nomination to the United States Senate. He faced a contested primary against a better-funded opponent who had endorsements from current elected Democrats. He won the primary by focusing on the counties and listening to their concerns. In the general he got the highest percentage of votes against Mike Crapo of any previous Democrat. In 2024 David was elected at the state convention to the role of National Committeeman and also received the Democratic nomination to the U.S. House. In the general he received the highest number of votes of any previous Democrat in that race.
